Brenda L. Hicks

Brenda Hicks (Totten) passed away December 21st 2024, at the age of 81.
Brenda was born on June 17th, 1943, to Leslie and Yvonne Totten of Brunswick Maine. Brenda
grew up in Brunswick, with her younger brother Charles Totten, graduating from Brunswick High
School in 1961. Later in life she moved to California, where she furthered her education,
receiving a bachelor's degree in psychology.
In 1991 Brenda married Larry Hicks. Several years later they settled in Copperopolis California,
where they built a life of service to others. As told by her pastor, only a few days before she
passed, she called him asking if anyone at the church needed anything.
Brenda was passionate about serving others and living her faith. She had a beautiful soul who
would help anyone. She enjoyed knitting Afghans and spending time with her family, friends and
her beloved dogs, Sadie and Tallulah
She is survived by her husband Larry Hicks; daughters Lesli Prado and husband Ernesto,
Nicole Aguon and husband Gerald; step children Becky Elasser, Ted Hicks and wife Joy;
grandchildren, Jacenia and husband Dan, Alicia and husband Jon, Gabriella, Jayme, Jenny
and husband Ryan, Alexander, Isabella and Aiden; great grandchildren, Rylan, Camryn, Quinn
and Hayes; Brother Chuck Totten and his wife Donna.
Celebration of Life will be held on February 8 th 2024, at Grace Hills Covenant Church, Angels
Camp California.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Grace Hills Covenant Church in Brenda's name, will be accepted.
