Owner, Funeral Director & Embalmer

Darren has lived in Calaveras County for over 40 years and is a graduate of Bret Harte High School. With over 30 years of experience in the Funeral Industry, Darren is a licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer and Crematory Manager. He is a former Board Member of the California Funeral Directors Association and past President of Valley Lode Funeral Directors Association. Darren has also played an active role in our local youth sports serving as the Secretary Treasurer for AMA.

Cindy has been a resident of Calaveras County for 43 years and is a graduate of Bret Harte High School. She is the proud mother of 3 and grandmother to 3 boys. She is an active part in the day-to-day activities at the funeral home and enjoys helping families in their time of need.

Kevin Raggio

Kevin Raggio

Funeral Director & Embalmer

Kevin is a lifelong resident of Angels Camp, graduating from Mark Twain Elementary in 1979 and Bret Harte High School in 1983. He was hired by Terry Parker in May of 1985 and served his Embalmers apprenticeship under Terry for 1 year before attending Mortuary College at Cypress College in Southern California. During his time there he worked for O’Connor Laguna Hills Mortuary in Laguna Hills where he finished his apprenticeship. And graduated from Cypress College in 1987 and returned to Angels Camp. Working for a mortuary in Southern California and not knowing anyone was not all rewarding. His time in Southern California made him appreciate his roots here in Calaveras County. A good percentage of families he deals with on a daily basis he knows personally and they appreciate working with someone they know. In his off time, he enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing, trapshooting and traveling.

Keith was born and raised in San Jose, California and entered the profession working for several local mortuaries in the Bay Area. Looking to further his knowledge in Death Care, he enrolled in the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science and graduated in the summer of 1999. Not liking the direction the corporate mortuaries where headed he longed for a change. Calaveras Mortuaries had an opening and he jumped at the chance to live and work in the mountains he loved for a family mortuary. He has been employed here since 2000 and strives to bring compassion and understanding to better help the families needing his services.

Samantha Redfield

Funeral Arranger

Samantha Redfield was born and raised in Angels Camp, California. After graduating high school, Samantha took 6 months to serve as a missionary in Colorado and Argentina. After returning home, she started her education in Marketing and Events. With over 10 plus years of experience in planning events and a deep passion for helping others personally and professionally Samantha is happy to be joining the family business and following in her parent’s footsteps in serving the community.

Don Young

Funeral Director

Don graduated from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science in 1986. He started working at San Andreas Memorial that same year and worked for 16 years leaving in 2002 to take position as Fire Chief with San Andreas Fire Protection District. He still serves as Fire Chief today and as President of the Calaveras Fire Chiefs Association. Don coached shotput and discus at Calaveras Highschool for 30 years. He loves hunting, fishing and spending time with his 6 grandchildren.

Brandi's family has been in the funeral business since 1940. They have owned funeral homes in
Sonora, Angles Camp, San Andreas, Oakdale, and Riverbank. Brandi began her direct
involvement in the family business after she retired from her 30 year career in dentistry. She is
passionate about helping families navigate their way through the loss of a loved one. She
believes pre planning for your own cremation or funeral is an important gift you can give to your
loves ones. Her background and compassion make her an asset to our funeral home.
Brandi was born and raised in Tuolumne County. She and her husband are proud parents of
two grown children. When she is not spending time with them, she enjoys reading,
snowmobiling, and traveling.

Brigette LaFauci

Brigette LaFauci

Brigette is a career Funeral Director and Embalmer with over 20 years of dedicated experience serving the community. During the pandemic she found countless families impacted by the burden of making sudden, unplanned arrangements – all while in a fog of grief. It was at that point she decided to switch gears in her profession and dedicate her time to helping as many people as possible get their final affairs in order early, leaving their loved ones with no guesswork.

Brigette lives in Amador County with her daughter and supports her many activities including musical theater and dance. In her spare time, she loves traveling, cooking and volunteer work.
